The Antares Film Festival invites films where labor is not just a backdrop, but the heart of the story. We are looking for talented works in which the hero’s profession becomes the core of the drama: through it, characters, conflicts, dreams, and achievements are revealed.
The focus is on people whose hands and minds perform everyday feats: steelworkers and teachers, doctors and farmers, engineers and fishermen. We value stories where work is not merely an occupation, but a destiny. Where a machine tool, a classroom, an operating room, or a construction site become spaces for personal growth, struggle, triumph, or tragedy.
We accept films of any genre — from social drama to documentary epic — provided that the hero’s profession directly influences the plot, and the audience experiences with them the challenges of labor: whether it is saving lives, creating a masterpiece, overcoming the elements, or fighting for justice in the workshop.
Our goal is to show how labor shapes a person, and how a person changes the world. To give a voice to those whose professions often remain “behind the scenes,” but without whom our daily life would be impossible.
In 2026, the Antares Film Festival will feature 5 competitions:
1. Feature Live-Action Film Competition (40 to 120 minutes);
2. Short Live-Action Film Competition (5 to 20 minutes);
3. Documentary Film Competition (5 to 30 minutes);
4. Animation Film Competition (up to 20 minutes);
5. Screenplay Competition (up to 30 pages) — works dedicated to the theme of labor and professional activity.
