The 2nd International Film Festival of Feature-length Feature Films, Documentaries and Short Feature Films - Antares is being held from August 6 to August 10, 2025 in Moscow, Russian Federation.
GENERAL PROVISIONS
In order to develop a new direction of cinematography in the Russian Federation, create a unique platform for understanding and popularizing the image of a Man of work in modern cinematography, develop cultural exchange, strengthen mutual understanding between peoples and cooperation between cinematographers around the world and popularize working professions, the 2nd International Film Festival will be held in Moscow from August 6 to 10, 2025. The Antares Film Festival, dedicated to the Man of Work.
The festival is aimed at a wide audience, from film industry professionals to viewers interested in social issues and inspiring stories about people who create the world around us. The Film Festival provides an opportunity for cinematographers from different countries to present their works reflecting the diversity of professions, everyday work, heroism and challenges faced by working people in various fields of activity.
The festival was initiated by the Safety and Quality Association with the support of a number of government agencies, businesses, and industry associations and is held annually. The operator of the film festival is the Open Communication Group Limited Liability Company.
FESTIVAL PROGRAM
INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION:
- ·full-length feature films(up to 120 minutes in length)
- ·short feature films(up to 20 minutes in length)
- ·documentaries (up to 40 minutes in length)
NON-COMPETITIVE PROGRAMS:
- ·non-competitive screening
- ·retrospective screening of films dedicated to the heroes of labor.
All films of the competitive screening must be completed after January 1, 2022. The production date is determined by the copyright indicated in the film or video copy. Russian Russian subtitles are required for all films with dialogues if the original language of the film is not Russian, and if the original language of the film is Russian, English subtitles are required.
THE JURY OF THE FILM FESTIVAL
The films selected for each of the nominations are evaluated by a jury consisting of film critics, leading Russian and foreign cinematographers (directors, producers, cinematographers, screenwriters, etc.), consisting of at least three (3) people in each competition.
The composition of the jury of all competition programs changes annually. The jury may not include persons involved in the creation or commercial distribution of paintings submitted to the competition. All members of the jury undertake to refrain from making public statements about the competition films (namely, mentions and direct links of the winning films, publication in open sources of references and / or reviews of the winning films or other links containing references of the winners) before the official award ceremony and the announcement of the winners.

APPLICATIONS FOR PARTICIPATION AND SELECTION
The application dates are from March 20, 2025 to July 1, 2025 (for films produced in 2025, it is possible to submit a draft selection).
There is no fee for applying to participate in the film festival.

The list of films selected for the competition program will be published on the website of the film festival (www.antares.film ) no later than 2 (two) weeks before the start of the festival.
The producers and authors of the selected works will be notified in advance by e-mail. The festival does not pay licensing fees for the screening of films selected in the competition.
The decision of the selection committee is final, not commented on or discussed.
PROMOTION
The participants of the film festival agree to provide the elements of the film (including, but not limited to: stills, photos from the set, texts related to the film, trailers, teasers, cuts) for use by journalists accredited at the Antares Film Festival, on TV (broadcast, cable, satellite), online media, in print media.
The participants of the film festival agree to provide films for screening at the events of the Echo Film Festival during the next 2 years.
In addition, the elements of the film can be used by the Directorate of the Film Festival in any official printed materials, online publications and other situations.
DELIVERY, INSURANCE AND RETURN OF COPIES FOR DISPLAY
Copies of the films selected for screening must be provided to the organizing committee of the festival by July 20, 2025 by transmission via the Internet. Only digital copies of films are accepted for screening. If a copy is not received within the prescribed period, the Festival has the right to exclude the film from the competition program.
The formats of the copies to be displayed are: DCP (preferably), HD files (Apple ProRes) or MP4. Detailed technical requirements will be sent to all selected participants in person. Russian Russian subtitles must be embedded in the copy for showing if the film is not in Russian, or English subtitles must be embedded if the film is in Russian.
INVITATION TO THE FESTIVAL
The directors of the films included in the program will be invited to the Festival. If the director is unable to attend the Festival, he may (in agreement with the organizing committee of the festival) transfer his invitation to another member of the film crew. The festival provides representatives of competitive films with an invitation to obtain a visa to the Russian Federation or to arrange a business trip.
Questions about the conditions of inviting participants and guests, the terms and conditions of their stay and accreditation at the festival for each contestant are personally decided by the Organizing Committee of the Antares Film Festival in personal invitations.
By tradition, the festival reserves the right to invite distinguished guests, participants in out-of-competition screenings and other programs, presenters of master classes, heroes of paintings presented at the festival, representatives of the media and various cultural organizations. Payment for accommodation and travel is negotiated and considered individually in each case.
SCREENINGS WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE FESTIVAL, ON TELEVISION AND ON THE INTERNET
The Festival may use excerpts from competitive films (up to 10% of the film's length, but no more than 3 minutes) to promote the Festival on television and on the Internet.
The festival has the right to show the film selected in the competition program no more than three times during the festival. The Festival has the right to additionally show films of the competition program (including live streaming on the Internet) in the amount of no more than 20 (twenty) screenings within 24 (twenty-four) months from the date of the Festival. These additional screenings can only be carried out as part of cultural events related to the presentation of the Antares Film Festival.
CONFIRMATION OF AGREEMENT WITH THE TERMS
By submitting an electronic application for participation in the Antares Festival (on the Festhome / FilmFreeway platforms, or another authorized resource) you confirm that you are the authorized representative of the copyright holder of the film and agree to all the above points of these Regulations in full.
SPECIAL PROGRAMS AND SPECIAL SCREENINGS
Special Programs are formed and compiled by the Organizing Committee of the Festival. The number of special programs is determined by the Organizing Committee based on the current needs and capabilities of the Festival.
SPECIAL GUESTS INVITED TO THE FESTIVAL
The authors of films of special programs and special screenings are invited to the festival to present films. Whenever possible, the festival provides representatives of films of special programs and screenings with a visa, air or railway tickets, as well as hotel accommodation for the duration of a special program or a special screening within the framework of the film festival.
BUSINESS PROGRAM
The business program of the Festival consists of business sessions, round tables and master classes with the possibility of non-competitive screening of full-length feature films, as well as other business and cultural events that are an integral part of the festival program.
All guests of the business program are invited by the Festival.
