On May 1, 2025, on the day of Spring and Labor, the admission of films to the II-International Antares Film Festival, dedicated to the Man of Labor, will begin!

The festival will be held in Moscow from August 6 to August 10, 2025, as part of the work of the Center for Cultural Initiatives of the Man of Labor of the United Russia party.

The Antares International Film Festival is a large–scale cultural project designed to create a unique platform for understanding and popularizing the image of a man of work in modern cinema.

The festival is aimed at a wide audience, from film industry professionals to viewers interested in social issues and inspiring stories about people who create the world around us. We want to provide an opportunity for filmmakers from different countries to present their work, reflecting the diversity of professions, everyday work, heroism and challenges faced by workers in various fields of activity.

Why Antares? Antares is the brightest star in the night sky, a red supergiant and a landmark for navigators from time immemorial. The ideas reflected in the films of the competition program of the film festival, like guiding stars, should become landmarks for viewers in the cinema of the new world - where the Man of work is in the spotlight!

The competition program consists of feature films and documentaries, which will be evaluated by a professional international jury and the winners will be selected. The winners of the film festival will receive diplomas of the film festival and statuettes "Antares" by the famous sculptor Grigory Potocki, made in metal. The festival program includes competitive, non-competitive and retrospective screenings, a business program, creative meetings with actors and directors from different countries and professionally oriented workshops.

The idea of creating the film festival belongs to the Safety and Quality Association, a large association of Russian employers for whom the greatest value is their employee, a Man of Work.

What films are we waiting for?

In 2025, three competitions will be held as part of the Antares Film Festival:
1. Competition of full-length feature films (from 40 to 120 minutes);
2. Competition of short feature films (from 5 to 20 minutes);
3. Documentary film competition (from 5 to 40 minutes).

The Antares Film Festival invites films where work is not the background, but the heart of history. We are waiting for talented works in which the profession of the hero becomes the basis of drama: characters, conflicts, dreams and achievements are revealed through it.

The focus is on people whose hands and minds perform everyday feats: steelworkers and teachers, doctors and farmers, engineers and fishermen. Stories where work is not just an occupation, but a destiny are important to us. Where a machine, a blackboard, an operating room or a construction site turn into a space of personal growth, struggle, triumph or tragedy.

We accept films of any genre, from social drama to documentary epic, if the hero's profession directly affects the plot in them, and the viewer lives with him the challenges of labor: whether it's saving lives, creating a masterpiece, overcoming the elements or fighting for justice in the workshop.

Our goal is to show how work shapes a person, and how a person changes the world. To give a voice to those whose professions often remain "behind the scenes", but without whom our daily lives are impossible.

Send a movie that inspires you to be proud of overalls, respect the craft, and believe in hard work. — This is not only a duty, but also a virtue.

Acceptance of works will last until July 1, 2025.

You can fill out an application on the website of the film festival Antares or on the website of the international film festival platform FestHome.
