From August 6 to August 10, 2025, Moscow will host the Antares Film Festival, again dedicated to the Man of Work. A record 2,677 films from 72 countries entered the 2025 competition! This is more than double the result of last year, when the Sochi festival brought together 1,130 works.
The main focus of the festival is films where work is not just a backdrop, but the heart of the story. "Talented works are important to us, in which the profession of the hero becomes the basis of drama: characters, conflicts, dreams and achievements are revealed through it," the organizers emphasize. The focus is on people from a wide variety of professions, "whose hands and minds create everyday feats": steelworkers, teachers, doctors, farmers, engineers, fishermen and many others.
Now is taking overThe selection committee. In the coming days, she will face a daunting task: from thousands of applications, select approximately 70 films for the main The competition program. It is these works that will be evaluated by a professional jury, which will include recognized cinematographers, representatives of the industry community and trade union members.
