Note that more than half of these films are full-length. There will be 4 prize nominations at the film festival within the framework of the main competitions: feature-length feature films, short films, documentaries and animated films. The 6 largest cinemas in Sochi will host an out-of-competition screening of the film festival.
The jury of the film festival is headed by People's Artist of Russia Elena Tsyplakova, among the jury members: Chinese director Liu Ming Xiu, director of the Central House of Cinematographers of Russia Ekaterina Golovnya, actor and director Rustam Sagdullaev. The film festival will be accompanied by a red carpet with the participation of such Russian screen stars as Natalia Varley, Larisa Luzhina, Ekaterina Shpitsa, Evelina Bledans, Ivan Kokorin, Anastasia Ryseva and many others. The stars of Western cinema also received their invitation to the film festival: Emir Kurturica, Gerard Depardieu, Ornella Muti and Steven Seagal.
The festival will host the premiere screening of the film almanac "Safe Work", which includes short feature films "Helmet", "Taxi Driver", "Petrovich", "Intern" and "First Aid with Anfisa Chekhov", which starred the stars of Russian cinema.
The International Film Festival, as well as the Safe Work film almanac, were created on the initiative of the Safety and Quality Association. One of the films, Petrovich, which is included in the film almanac, has already received its first award at the Russian festival of domestic cinema "Chernorechye Fest", in Dzerzhinsk, in the nomination "For a creative approach to security". The film is directed by Gennady Ivanov.
Applications for the film festival started on February 1 and will end on May 10. The project partners are: the administration of the resort city of Sochi, the Rossiya-24 Sochi TV channel, the Sochi Concert and Philharmonic Association Winter Theater, the Technoprogress Institute for Advanced Training, the A. Mitta Film School, the Kurson educational platform and the Media Center of the Safety and Quality Association.
