The Organizing Committee of the Antares Film Festival received the first application for participation

The film "Five Percent" directed by Dmitry Svetozarov became the first to apply for participation in the Antares International Film Festival. It is expected that the film will become a participant in the competition of full-length feature films.

The film premiered in Russian cinemas on November 2 last year, and the main roles were played by Yuri Stoyanov and Viktor Sukhorukov. The plot is based on the story of the fate of the sculptor-muralist Nikolai Fomich Ferapontov, who in his old age is forced to earn a living by random orders. All the success of the sculptor has remained in the distant past, and he has to make ends meet, interrupting random orders. Everything changes when a young art critic Myasoedov appears on his doorstep and finds paintings in the back room in which he unexpectedly "recognizes" masterpieces of fine art. Not really imagining the true origin of the paintings, Nikolai Fomich calls himself their author, and from that moment the hunt for money and fame begins.

The first Antares International Film Festival will be held in Sochi on June 25-30, 2024. The competitive program will feature full-length, short films, documentaries and animated films. Applications for participation in the film festival will be accepted until May 10.
