The Third International Film Festival «Antares» has ended: winners announced

25.09.2026

On September 25, the III International Film Festival “Antares,” dedicated to the working person, ended in Moscow. Over two weeks, from September 12 to 25, audiences saw more than 170 films from 44+ countries, and a jury from 11 countries determined the best in four film competitions and a screenplay competition.

Geography and statistics

The winners of the festival were representatives of 11 countries: Russia, Iran, India, France, Argentina, China, the USA, Spain, Belarus, Italy, and Uzbekistan. As expected, Russia became the leader in the number of awards — in the four film competitions it received 18 prizes out of 36 (exactly half). Iran and India share second place in the number of victories — each country has several awards in different categories. France, Argentina, China, and the USA also made a notable contribution.

The main theme of the festival — the working person — was revealed through the widest diversity of professions: from actress, doctor, and pilot to cleaner, hairdresser, potter, stuntwoman, and football goalkeeper. The jury recognized both fiction and documentary stories, as well as animation, where behind each work stands its own hero and their craft. In the screenplay competition, winners were determined by talent, skill, and conformity to the festival’s theme.
