The organizers have announced the results of the All-Russian photo contest “Faces of Labor in Cinema,” which was held with the support of the International Film Festival “Antares,” the All-Russian Occupational Safety and Health Week (VNOT), and the Roscongress Foundation.
Recall that the contest launched at the end of June 2026. Within a few weeks, the organizing committee received dozens of photographs from different parts of Russia — from Leningrad Oblast to the Republic of Adygea — as well as from outside the country, including Bangladesh. The heroes of the photographs were representatives of a wide variety of professions: seamstresses and fitters, welders and drivers, chemical technologists and environmental specialists, nurses and doctors, social sector and education workers, occupational safety specialists, QCD inspectors, woodworking industry workers, cooks, massage therapists, speech therapists, educators, and many others.

The best works of the winners will become official posters of the International Film Festival “Antares” and will be presented to audiences under the slogan: “Every kind of work deserves cinema.” These posters will be seen by festival guests, participants of the business program, representatives of professional communities, and thousands of viewers.
In addition, all finalists of the contest will see their photos at the central photo exhibition within the All-Russian Occupational Safety and Health Week (VNOT), which will be held in Sochi in October 2026. Thus, the heroes of the photographs will become the faces of a major international cultural project telling the world about people whose labor creates the present and builds the future.
There, all finalists will also be awarded diplomas from VNOT and the Antares Film Festival. The authors and heroes of the best photos will receive an invitation to the opening ceremony of the film festival in Moscow.
Each contest entry became a small film told in a single frame. For the Antares Film Festival, which for the third year has been telling stories of working people through the language of cinema, this project has become a natural continuation of the festival’s main mission. We are convinced that respect for a profession begins with attention to the person.
Because cinema does not begin with a camera. Cinema begins with a person.
